Nest was purchased by Google back in January 2014, in a deal that was worth $3.2 billion. After some recent changes in structure at Google, Nest is now an Alphabet company. The company was born back in 2010, when former Apple engineers Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers decided to start a business of their own.
Currently, Nest has a variety of products in its line up, and the original was the Nest Thermostat, which is a smart thermostat that aims to keep your house comfortable while saving you money. Since its initial release, Nest has revised and refined it, and recently launched the third-generation hardware. While there is no official app for Windows Phone, there are a couple of third party alternatives. Some of them include Nestle, NestWP, and Cozy, which is now a universal Windows 10 app.
Nest also has also rethought the smoke detector, with Nest Protect, and also launched the Nest Cam, its take on home security cameras.
